This site is constructed purely to conduct “The Mastering Gauntlet” challenge and competition. We may, at our sole discretion, collaborate with 3rd parties in which we deem necessary to conduct sponsorships and joint ventures for the benefit of operating the competition, any prize drawings, and giveaways.
What personal data we collect and why we collect it
Comments
When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.
Media
If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.
Contact forms
Any and all data, including personal identity, email addresses, phone numbers, and other contact information will be stored permanently on our servers. By submitting the information, you agree to our terms of service, that The Mastering Gauntlet may share with 3rd parties for the purposes of conducting the business, and may even sell limited information we collect for marketing purposes so long as it relates directly to the interest The Mastering Gauntlet serves: to enhance and serve music artists, producers, engineers, DJ’s and related music industry professionals.

All data collected through this website is automatically and inherently shared with the parent companies – Neologic Studios, & Envious Audio. By subscribing, entering any information with, or interacting with this site, the data generated will be shared with the parent companies, and may be used for marketing research and direct marketing purposes.
The parent companies may also offer information sharing with 3rd parties that become directly involved with The Mastering Gauntlet for the purpose of generating sponsorships and affiliations in order to conduct the operation of the outlining purpose detailed at the top of this policy.
How long we retain your data
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
3rd Parties will only have access to information collected during the sponsorship or affiliation period, which shall be limited to a term described as a “season”.
A season is a rolling calendar year with a beginning period up to 6 months prior to the date of the challenge start date, and up to 3 months after the challenge end date.

If you wish to have your account and any personal information removed from this site, you must send a formal request inquiry to the site administrator. Please allow up to one month for the removal of the data. Any data that we may be obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes may not be removed.
Where we send your data
Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.
The Mastering Gauntlet may use 3rd party platforms such as KingSumo for operating the giveaway portion of the challenge. Any information entered into their forms are subject to their terms of service and may be stored on their servers in addition to ours.
The Mastering Gauntlet uses Mailchimp for our marketing efforts. Mailchimp may store information entered into registration forms, signup forms, and challenge entry forms in addition to us.
Your contact information
The site will endeavor to secure through best practices and industry standard methods and technologies to keep all personal data safe and secure. Your contact information will not be shared with unaffiliated 3rd parties, nor sold to marketers or market researchers without prior consent, and not without reasonable consideration as to the nature of business aligned with the business this site conducts.

How we protect your data
We use Akismet antispam, and several private, 3rd party solutions as a multi-tiered, and serial-staged protection scheme for every step from entry to storage and retreival.
This site uses only SSL encryption, and recommend that any time you see an unlocked lock icon in your web browser address bar next to the address, that you leave the site immediately as it is not using this SSL secured connection.
Our organization implements user-specific roles to further define and create barriers to who can access what information. This ensures that only those with the highest level of clearance can access private information. Even then, not even system administrators can see or manipulate confidential information other than to perform administrative duties, such as revoking access, deleting accounts, or issuing password recovery requests.
What data breach procedures we have in place
In the event of a data breach, we will notify all current and past subscribers, whether active or inactive, within 72 hours of detection.
We will endeavor to secure the nature and the severity of the breach as early as possible, and provide any and all users we suspect may be affected on steps for protecting their digital identities to prevent further damage.
Industry regulatory disclosure requirements
Any intent to change of ownership, sponsorship, affiliates, operating parties, or entities involved in or with The Mastering Gauntlet will result in a public notice campaign.
We will send notifications via email and on our social media sites as early as possible when a change is being considered, and on a rolling basis if and/or as we proceed toward the change.
